Often, When People Rage, They Are Suffering

What does it mean to suffer?

There are many ways we can suffer. We can suffer physically with pain, mentally with mental illness or rumination, or spiritually with a lack of meaning or moral dilemma.

Suffering is part of the human condition. It is part of the polarity that we live in.

I have noticed more and more that when I see people rage, I feel their suffering under it. Maybe they are afraid of something or angry about something that happened in the past. Perhaps they know what that thing is, and maybe they don’t. Perhaps the only contact they have with the suffering is a sense of rage.

When you think about the last time you saw someone rage or you raged, can you sense the suffering underneath?

Does this resonate with you?
