Messages For all The Parents of Babies and Toddlers in this Pandemic

I have parented a ten and eleven-year-old through this pandemic.

I had to explain the virus when there was no vaccine, and we were expecting to lose a considerable number of people. We didn’t know how contagious it was or if supply lines would be maintained. It was scary for most adults. Protecting our kids at an age when they are still putting their hands in their mouths seemed almost impossible.

And then there was the home-schooling. My kids were just at an age where they could be in an online zoom class and pay attention. I was acutely aware that many parents were not in such a position. I often thought about the parents with toddlers. Trying to work and parent.

I just want you to know that you have not been forgotten, and YOU DESERVE A GOLD MEDAL.
