Hiding Parts of Self
As children, we sometimes have to hide parts of ourselves to survive. As adults, those parts might be afraid of being seen and rejected. Your Inner Child is waiting for YOU to give them permission to be seen and the experience of being loved for all of who they are. As children, we quickly learn what is acceptable in our family of origin and what is not acceptable. We may be a natural artist born into a family of scientists or a gay person born into a family that only allow heterosexual relationships. As children, we might learn to hide those parts of ourselves that make us truly us. We can feel like we are living a sham; we are living to fit a mould that is not ours.
