Anxiety can cause a range of symptoms that can make you worry about a health issue, perhaps even causing health anxiety. Anxiety is how your body lets you know that something is out of alignment. There is a problem that needs to be dealt with. You are in fight or flight, so your body produces adrenalin and cortisol to increase your heart rate and help you get to safety. This can feel like you are having heart palpitations and that you can’t breathe. In the moment, it can feel frightening.
